Weekend Update: June 23-25

This is a big weekend for horse and car lovers at the fairgrounds. Here’s a list of upcoming events: The Classic Car Auction is Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Graham Building and the Exposition Center. The event will feature four private collections offering over 250 vintage vehicles. The public has the option to preview the cars Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. before the auction begins. Adult admission is $10 per day, or $15 for a weekend pass. Admission for ages 12 and under is $5 per day or $7 for a weekend pass….

Weekend Update: June 16-18

From tiny house hunting to collectible toy shopping, this weekend at the fairgrounds has a little something for everyone. Here’s what’s going on: The Great American Tiny House Show is Friday and Saturday in the Graham Building. The expo will display different types of houses, such as container homes, modular homes and other portable structures. It will also feature exhibits with building equipment and accessories, real estate brokers, recreational items and travel destinations. The event is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is $10. Between jewelry shows and the weekly flea market, this weekend’s events at the fairgrounds will give you the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to some new bling. Here’s what’s coming up: The Gem and Jewelry Show offers up a variety of gems, including bead collections, crystals and minerals from vendors across the country. Dealers will also showcase some rare items, such as giant shark’s teeth and fossils. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Scott Building on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and admission is free.
