Challenge accepted: Deep-fried brownies

Last week, we asked you to submit press office challenges you would like to see covered on the Deep Fried blog during the fair. We received about a dozen entries and narrowed the list to three. Our first entry was submitted by Dante H. It was really hard to pass up on this opportunity to sample deep-fried brownies. Check out the video below to see what we thought. (Hint: It was awesome!) Brownies are the latest deep-fried creation from Chef’s D-Lite, which also offers chicken-fried bacon, deep-fried mac & cheese and deep-fried moon pies. You can search for food near…

Instead of being shot from the small island on the pond, the fireworks are now going off on property on Trinity Road. For perspective on the new site, if you pretend you were looking at a clock in the direction of the old location of the fireworks and the time was…

We’ve done a lot of reviews for the Deep Fried blog, and here’s our latest one for deep-fried chicken pot pie at Woody’s City Market near the midway. In 2009, we reviewed Woody’s buffalo chicken rangoons and really liked them. Check out the video below to see what we thought about the deep fried chicken pot pie. Note: If video doesn’t play, try refreshing browser.
