West Raleigh is the place to be this weekend as our neighbor, the N.C. Museum of Art, hosts its grand opening celebration. But, that’s not the only thing happening on Blue Ridge Road this weekend; the fairgrounds will be full of activities for women, children, teens and clowns of all ages.
Pink carpets are rolled out for the Southern Women’s Show, featuring spa treatments, makeovers and a variety of boutique vendors offering plenty of retail therapy. The show is open Friday to Sunday in the Expo and Graham buildings.
While moms enjoy the Southern Women’s Show, their children can take part in the 2010 North Carolina Youth Jamboree Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The annual event, sponsored by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, will have games and exhibits by Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H and FCA.
The whole family will enjoy Cole Brothers Circus of the Stars, bringing high-wire acts, acrobats, jugglers and elephants to the fairgrounds Friday to Sunday.
And don’t forget to check out the other events happening this weekend at the fairgrounds:
