Weekend Update: The Got to Be NC Festival celebrates 10 years!

It’s a celebration of food and agriculture at the 10th annual Got to Be N.C. Festival.  Come enjoy a mix of food, fun, music, carnival rides, tractors and more. Gate admission is free. Highlights include: Homegrown Fare presented by Lowes Foods, in the Exposition Center. Nearly 100 North Carolina companies will be sampling and selling their products. Weekend Update: May 12-14

Saturday could be the perfect girl’s day out at the fairgrounds. The Raleigh Spring Lula Palooza is in the Exposition Center. More than 30 LuLaRoe consultants will have more than 13,000 items including skirts, dresses, shirts, leggings and more. Sizes range from XXS to 3XL. The event features multiple dressing rooms and a central check out location. Admission is free. Weekend Update: May 5-7

Calling all bookworms! The popular Wake County Public Library Festival of Reading and Book Sale is this weekend in the Exposition Center. Books are copies that have been pulled from circulation or come from donations. All books are in good condition. Plenty of bestsellers are up for grabs, as well as cookbooks, textbooks and books on history and religion. Cash, checks and all major credit cards accepted. Goodguys takes over the fairgrounds this weekend for it’s third annual North Carolina Nationals Giant Automotive Festival. Explore more than 1,500 candy-colored and chrome-plated 1972 and older hot rods, customs, muscle cars, tricked-out trucks and classics on display. Grab a seat in the stands or put your vehicle and driving skills to the test at the pavement-pounding Goodguys AutoCross timed racing competition. India Fest, with more than 1,200 performers, returns to the fairgrounds this Saturday and Sunday in an expanded location. Enjoy the largest Indian cultural celebration of it’s kind in the nation. Discover Indian cultural arts through dance, music, cuisine and traditional crafts in a bazaar-style atmosphere in the Exposition Center. The Carolina Collector Auto Fest takes over Dorton Arena, the Graham Building and the grounds between the buildings this weekend.
