Weekend update: March 17-19

India Fest, with more than 1,200 performers, returns to the fairgrounds this Saturday and Sunday in an expanded location. Enjoy the largest Indian cultural celebration of it’s kind in the nation. Discover Indian cultural arts through dance, music, cuisine and traditional crafts in a bazaar-style atmosphere in the Exposition Center. Event hours are Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, 11  a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Raffles and door prizes will be held throughout the event.  Admission is $6 daily. Weekend Update: March 10-12

Need a little variety? Head on out to the fairgrounds this weekend. We’ve got something for everyone. The Carolina Collector Auto Fest takes over Dorton Arena, the Graham Building and the grounds between the buildings this weekend. This event is celebrating its 31st year and will include a swap meet with more than 100 vendors, indoor and outdoor car corral for buying and selling. Weekend Update: March 3-5

This weekend is for the deer hunters. The popular Dixie Deer Classic returns for its 37th annual event. Come check out the latest hunting equipment from more than 200 vendors in Dorton Arena, the Exposition Center, Graham, Scott and Holshouser buildings and outdoor exhibitors. Other activities include seminars, displays, trophy scoring, archery competition and the N.C. State Championship Turkey Calling Contest. Weekend Update: Feb. 10 -12

This weekend promises to be a knock-out when it comes to the weather and to Dorton Arena entertainment. On Friday night, Big Time Wrestling returns with WWE Hall of Famer “The Icon” Sting.  Doors open at 6 p.m. and bell time is 8 p.m. Tickets range from $20 for arena seating to $75 for VIP seats.
