The Dixie Gun and Knife Classic is Saturday and Sunday in the Graham Building. Weekend update: March 17-19

India Fest, with more than 1,200 performers, returns to the fairgrounds this Saturday and Sunday in an expanded location. Enjoy the largest Indian cultural celebration of it’s kind in the nation. Discover Indian cultural arts through dance, music, cuisine and traditional crafts in a bazaar-style atmosphere in the Exposition Center. Weekend Update: Jan. 27-29

The Triangle’s largest Chinese New Year Festival is this Saturday in Dorton Arena. Celebrate the Year of the Rooster with Chinese and Asian cultural performances on stage, exhibits, food and merchandise vendors offering arts and crafts for the entire family to enjoy. Weekend Update: Oct. 4-6

With the N.C. State Fair right around the corner, there will not be any outside events happening on the fairgrounds through October. The buildings and grounds are being prepped for the fair, which runs Oct 17-27. This weekend, the N.C. State Fair Horse Shows begin with the Hunter Jumper show. The State Fair Horse Shows are one of the largest all-breed shows in the country, requiring more than 11 days to get all the shows in. Jump for the Children Horse Show and more this weekend

This weekend, you can enjoy some of the best horse jumping on the East Coast and support the Duke Children’s Hospital at the Jump for the Children Horse Show at the Hunt Horse Complex. The horse show, which runs through Sunday, offers U.S. Equestrian Federation AA-rated hunter and jumper competitions each day.
