Come one, come all to the fairgrounds this weekend. With antiques, coins, reptiles and horses, there’s definitely something for every member of the family.
The 64th Raleigh Antiques Extravaganza will be in the Graham Building. There will be more than 125 exhibitors from across the East Coast selling and trading their quality antiques and collectibles. Event hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6.50 per day or $7.50 for a weekend pass.
The 37th annual coin and paper money show, hosted by the Raleigh Coin Club, will be in the Expo Center this weekend. This is the largest numismatic show in North Carolina, and marks its first year at the fairgrounds. Attendees can buy, sell and trade coins, paper money, stamps, tokens, gold and silver from more than 200 dealers. The event is family-friendly with educational exhibits and presentations for kids. The show will run 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
Repticon Reptile and Exotic Animal Show will be Saturday and Sunday in the Scott Building. Repticon is a reptile and exotic animal convention that will showcase vendors from around the country offering live animals, animal supplies and other related merchandise. Live animal presentations and seminars will be presented through the two days at the show. Event hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission for adults ages 13 and over is $10, ages 5-12 is $5 and ages 4 and below is free. Special two-day admission is $15.
The Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association is presenting a Western event at the Hunt Horse Complex. The show will feature riders dressed in period and contemporary Western wear, who will showcase cowboy skills on horseback. Horseback riders will shoot targets from guns, rifles and shotguns using safety blanks. Don’t miss this exciting display of horsemanship and shooting skill. Admission is $8 for adults, and kids under 10 are admitted free. A safety meeting will be held at 9:45 a.m., and the show begins at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. A Jackpot Final will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday only.
