Southern Farm Network logoThis week, Rhonda and Commissioner Troxler talk about muscadine grapes. These bronze, purple and black grapes are native to North Carolina, and they’re in the peak of their harvest season now. You’ll be able to get them in North Carolina through early October.

This year’s muscadines are big, bountiful and beautiful, and growers are expecting an ideal crop. You can find muscadines in grocery stores, roadside stands, farmers markets and pick-your-own fields.

Listen in as Commissioner Troxler and Rhonda talk about the flavor and nutritional value of muscadines.
