The 2010 N.C. State Fair is less than a month away, and Lisa is ramping up for her duties as cooking contest superintendent. Over the next several weeks, Brian will help Lisa cook some of her favorite blue-ribbon recipes from past State Fair cooking competitions. This week, the two prepare apple sausage pie, the winning recipe from the 2009 N.C. Apple Growers Association’s apple recipe contest. N.C. apples, pork and pecans are used to make this savory dish.
