In the Kitchen with Brian and Lisa: Whipped Nutella cream pie

WRAL reporter Brian Shrader and our own Lisa Prince feature seasonal recipes in their Got to Be Good Cookin’ segment using ingredients grown and available right here in North Carolina.
In the weeks leading up to the 2010 N.C. State Fair, Brian and Lisa have been ramping up with winning recipes from previous specialty cooking contests at the Fair. This week’s recipe for whipped Nutella cream pie is the winner from last year’s inaugural Pillsbury Pet-Ritz Pie Baking Championship. The recipe is simple to make and features a filling of Nutella, cream cheese, whipping cream, brown sugar and graham cracker crumbs.

If you would like to enter a recipe into this year’s competition, there is still time – entries are due Friday, Oct. 8. The Pillsbury Pet-Ritz Pie Baking Championship will be held Sunday, Oct. 17, during the N.C. State Fair. For more information, go to www.ncstatefair.org.
