Today’s Topic: National Ag Week is March 13-19

By on March 8, 2011

Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler sits down each week with Southern Farm Network’s Rhonda Garrison to discuss “Today’s Topic.”

Southern Farm Network logoNational Ag Week runs March 13-19, and Tuesday, March 15, is National Ag Day. Commissioner Troxler tells Rhonda that it’s great to devote a day or week to agriculture, but every day should be ag day. That’s because agriculture provides the food we eat, the clothes we wear and many other things we use in our lives.

All of us should understand not only how food, fiber and renewable resource products are produced, but also agriculture’s essential role in maintaining a strong economy.
