The assessment period will run from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 31, 2019. The assessment amount of half of 1 percent on sales of the seven small grains. Monies are collected at first-market elevators and sent to the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for deposit into the N.C. Small Grain Growers Association’s bank account. The funds are managed by the association’s board of directors.
