Peach Cobbler
Peach Cobbler

It’s National Peaches and Cream day, and what’s better than fresh cobbler with vanilla ice cream on a hot day? With peaches in season, this is the perfect, easy dessert for any occasion.

Make your cobbler with fresh N.C. peaches! Be sure to get your produce at your local farmers market or neighborhood grocery store. Look for the Got To Be NC sticker to know that you are buying from North Carolina farmers and supporting local agribusiness.

The recipe below can be found on Southern Biscuit Formula L flour mix by Renwood Mills.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Southern Biscuit Formula L mix
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup milk
¼ cup butter
2 cans of sliced peaches or fresh peaches sliced with skin removed or other favorite fruit

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put butter in a baking dish in
the preheating oven and let melt.

Mix together the flour and sugar in a separate bowl. Add in
milk and mix until combined.

Remove pan from oven once butter is melted. Pour the flour
mixture into the baking dish over the butter, but do not stir. Remove liquid
from peaches and lay peaches on top of the flour mix. Again do not stir.

Bake in oven 25-35 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Can be served with a scoop of ice cream!
